What is ispa

The Institute for Applied Sociology and Psychology is a private institution with a social aim, founded in Barcelona in 1950 by the sociologist Dr. Rogeli Duocastella.

The founding objective of the ISPA is to promote sociological research and the practical application of psychosociological knowledge to help solve problems related to our society. This aim compels us to pay attention to people with specific problems and to develop educational activity for professionals who, in different fields and ways, are working to care for people.

All ISPA's activity is kept going by three pillars that make the institution distinct: psychosocial research, tuition and welfare services for people and organizations. All three are carried out by the three related divisions of our organization .

In summary, the ISPA's activity endeavours to enhance human well-being and good social relations, to facilitate social education, culture and general knowledge, as well as promoting solidarity between institutions and countries.
